The idea behind Feast RVA is simple; donate $25 for a catered dinner by Sticky To Go Go and Cellar Door, receive drinks, listen to 3 pitches, and vote ballot style to choose a winner to receive $500 to help fund their creative project. Inspired by a similar initiative in Brooklyn, Johnny Hugel and Josh Epperson thought of bringing FEAST to Richmond as a way to help bring people together and further spread support and awareness of Richmond’s creative community. Before dinner, Rebecca Johnson, Anna Wittel, and Nocole Lang each presented their perspective projects to an attentive audience with support of audio, visual, and even edible accompaniment.
—More Photos At Dirty RichmondWhile discussing the projects over dinner, music was provided by “The Bird and her Consort” featuring Antonia Begonia, The Bird, and her husband, Jonathan Vassar.
After the ballots were counted and recounted, Epperson announced the result of a surprising tie between Rebecca Johnson of RVA Audio and Nicole Lang of Dollop Desserts!
The next Feast RVA is scheduled for Sunday January 15th. For more information visit the Feast RVA website. If you or anyone you know is interested in having a project funded, please review the criteria and submit your idea here!
